Related: I still can’t believe that the proper placement of a transponder is on the top of the license plate. I actually have a screen shot of the directions so I can show it to the police if I get pulled over for an obscured plate.

I’ve been pulled over three times in two different cars and told that it was because of license plate frames. Granted, these were all in the early early morning, and I’m certain that it was because they originally thought I was black, since I was only told that after they ran my license.
